The brand

BRAM Acoustics designs loudspeakers with judgement, builds them with precision and explains why.

Creative rigour

Technique and creativity work at the same time. Every formal decision has an intention and an explanation: the Lira silhouette exists because it avoids pairs of side walls facing each other in parallel, not because it looks good in a photo. Rigour is the means; the emotion of listening to music is the end.

Authorship

The design is signed by Josep Maria Marimon, designer and founder of HifiCafé. The brand is the protagonist and the author answers for his decisions: what has been measured, what has been decided and what remains open.

BRAM is designed in Barcelona

BRAM Acoustics is a high-fidelity brand founded by Josep Maria Marimon. Opus I grows out of his design work in Poblenou, Barcelona, out of the technical collaboration with Beyma, which makes the drivers in Valencia, and out of the work of local workshops that make the machining and the physical parts possible. The chain is short and can be followed.

The project develops in a setting connected with the industrial tradition of audio, with names such as Vieta or Roselson, and with contemporary design. We document the decisions that shape Opus I because they help to understand the product and hold us to verifiable results. We want BRAM to earn its own reputation through the loudspeakers it builds and the care it gives their owners.

Relationship with HifiCafé

HifiCafé is the founder's channel. The Opus I process has been told there and listening sessions are announced there. BRAM Acoustics explains the product and answers for it under its own responsibility; HifiCafé pieces about Opus I are identified as such and do not replace an independent assessment.
